The Magic Carpet® is built for real life. Hose it off or give it a quick hand wash, let it air dry, and it’s ready to go again. No complicated care and no wasted time, just a strong pad that works hard and cleans up easy, use after use.
The Magic Carpet® is a firm, flat mat made from 100% recycled needlepunched polyester with a patented pass-through wicking core. Liquid moves through the surface and spreads across the middle layer instead of pooling on top. It is sold as a dog crate mat and dog bowl mat for pets, and as a kneeling pad, garage floor mat, and workbench mat for the garage and workshop.
No, and that is the point. A waterproof mat holds liquid on the surface where it gets stepped in, tracked around, or trapped underneath. The Magic Carpet® absorbs about 4.5 times its dry weight and pulls liquid into its core, so the surface stays workable and the floor underneath stays dry. For a large spill, blot the surface and lift the mat to let the floor air out.
Measure the inside floor of your crate tray and pick the size that fits inside it. As a rule, SM fits a 24 inch crate, MD fits a 30 inch crate, LG fits a 36 inch crate, XL fits a 42 inch crate, and XXL fits a 48 inch crate. The full chart is on the dog crate mat page.
Hose it off or hand wash it with mild soap, then hang it to air dry. For oil or grease, blot first, then wash with a degreaser. The 2-packs let you keep one mat down while the other dries.
The mat is a dense compacted felt, not a foam pad or a stuffed bed, so there is nothing to pull apart and no filling to spread around the crate. It is strong and puncture resistant, and it stands up to digging and nail scratching. No mat is chew proof for a determined chewer, so supervise a new puppy the first few nights.
Yes. The same mat works as a kneeling pad for gardening, flooring, and mechanic work, and as a garage floor mat under a drain pan, a small engine, or a motorcycle. It does not compress flat the way foam does, and dropped tools and jack stands do not tear it.
Yes. As a litter box mat it catches tracked litter on the surface and soaks misses into the core. As an under sink mat it absorbs a slow drip and darkens so you see the leak before the cabinet base rots.
Seven sizes, from REG at 11.75 by 18 inches up to XXL at 26.75 by 44.75 inches. The smaller sizes come in 2-packs and 3-packs. The larger sizes are sold as singles. Every product page lists exact dimensions.
Every mat is made in Medina, New York by BMP America from 100% recycled polyester and covered by U.S. Patent No. 12,408,783 B2. The material started as an industrial printer component and was repurposed after plant workers began kneeling on the offcuts.
